You need the client software too. This software needs to be installed on every website you want to monitor. For instructions and to download, go to its page!
During the migration from MS to SD it can happen that your updates won't work (yet). If so, please download the package manually if updates occur.
This extension requires the following:
- PHP 7.1 or higher
- MySQL 5.5 or higher
- Joomla! 3.8 or higher
The extension will not install on websites that do not meet the minimum requirements. For more information, check this article.

You must setup a cronjob for this component to work. Refer to your hostings' controlpanel and search for cronjobs. A cronjob should run every minute; websites will only get updated after they reached the minimal data age (configurable in the server-software settings).
You must setup the cronjob command as following; please note that this command can differ from host to host! Contact your hosting provider for the right command! * * * * * /usr/local/bin/php path/to/your/joomla/cli/sdsm_poll.php
If done correctly, you should see data appear in the backend of your Joomla! server site. This process will be more easy in the future.
